We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster developmental growth through creative and educational activities. This role involves working closely with children, parents, and team members to support each child's unique needs and promote a positive classroom atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and individual student needs.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning.
Support children with diverse needs.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, and other documentation as required.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and ensure a cohesive educational experience.
Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with licensing regulations and organizational policies.
Skills
Proficiency in English; bilingual skills such as French are a plus.
Strong background in childcare, early childhood education, or related fields.
Experience working with children of various ages, including those with special needs or disabilities.
Excellent communication skills--both verbal and written--to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
Ability to operate computers and classroom technology efficiently for record keeping and educational purposes.
Classroom management skills with the ability to organize activities that promote learning and development.
Strong time management skills to balance lesson planning, instruction time, and administrative duties.
Leadership qualities to guide children positively while fostering independence.
