Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiatic , self motivated Dental Assistant to join our team and provide support to our dentists and dental hygienists. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include preparing patients for treatment, sterilizing instruments, assisting with dental procedures with the dentist and dental hygienist taking X-rays, charting and providing patient education.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for dental treatment. Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during a variety of treatment procedures. Maintain patient records and charts. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment. Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques. Take dental radiographs (x-rays). Take alginate impressions independantly. Make whitening trays and Essix retainers independantly Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Keep the dental room clean and orderly. Crossover help with reception duties when needed. Hours : Tuesday 8.30am-6pm, Wednesday 8.30am-6pm, Thursday 9.30am-7pm and Friday 8.30am to 1pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week

Dental Assisting: 1 year (preferred)
