We are a dedicated, people-centered social profit agency that provides services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are looking for Community Support Workers to join us in our mission to create meaningful and memorable lives for others through inclusion.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic team members to join our Community Inclusion Program, supporting adults with diverse abilities in Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, and Pitt Meadows.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm or 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
This is a permanent full-time role.
What You'll Do:
Support individuals to find and maintain meaningful paid employment
Teach life skills that align with personal and employment goals
Assist individuals in developing and running their own social enterprises
Encourage independence, choice, and self-determination
Lead recreational and leisure activities such as swimming, hiking, and more Facilitate community inclusion and relationship building
Teach and support effective communication skills
What You Bring:
Passion for working with people and a positive attitude
Experience with behavioural support or behaviour intervention (asset, not required)
Class 4 driver's license, or willingness to obtain one (CVS covers the cost)
Reliable car with business insurance, plus First Aid and CPR certification
Education and/or experience working with people who have developmental disabilities
