PickNic\'s Catering is excited to be hiring!
1 Permanent Full-Time Pastry Baker (30 \xe2\x80\x93 40 Hours per week) NO International Applicants, please. Pay is BASED ON EXPERIENCE: Wage rate starts at $18.00/Hour + Gratuities (between $200 \xe2\x80\x93 600) Month), but depending on experience, we may offer more. As the Baker you need to be able to confidently perform the majority of the following tasks. You will be trained as required to complete the rest. Duties include, but are Not Limited to:
Baking a Wide Variety of Cookies, Pastries, Squares, Muffins, Scones, Parfaits, Cheesecakes
Preparation of Special Occasion/Birthday Cakes
Production of, or willingness to Learn the Production of Wedding Cakes, Using Buttercream and Fondant.
Consulting with Catering Manager for occasional Dessert Menu creation, for custom orders or new permanent menu items.
Managing Bake Shop Inventory, including Orders and Product Research. Occasional Assistance with Deliveries Occasional Assistance in other departments with Prep work. (Cold kitchen/Hot kitchen prep) Assisting with Unloading Groceries/Deliveries General Clean up Hours of this position generally are:
8AM-4PM Tuesday \xe2\x80\x93 Saturday but earlier or later start times are definitely manageable. We are flexible for scheduling \xe2\x80\x93 especially as you become more independent in your position. The ideal applicant: \xc2\xb7 Minimum 2 Year experience in Pastry Shop/Baking/Cake Decoration \xc2\xb7 IDEALLY Completed a Pastry Arts or Baking or Culinary Arts/Cooking Program \xc2\xb7 Must be a reliable, mature, team-player \xc2\xb7 Speak Excellent English \xc2\xb7 Have a Class 5 Drivers license, with reasonable knowledge of the city \xc2\xb7 Be able to lift up to 50 lbs weight \xc2\xb7 Work quickly and efficiently, be tidy, organized and have a positive personality!
