We're looking for a versatile developer who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. This role is 80% backend and 20% frontend, focused on building features that directly impact employee engagement and HRIS integrations.

Our Stack

Node.js (Express), React, React Native (Expo), MySQL, Docker, Terraform

Key responsibilities

Design and maintain RESTful APIs for recognition, rewards, and surveys features Build HRIS integrations (Workday, BambooHR, ADP) for seamless data synchronization Develop backend services for high-volume transactions and point calculations Create React components when needed Optimize database performance and API response times Implement enterprise authentication (OAuth, SSO) and security measures Support React Native mobile apps through robust API development

What we're looking for

Required Skills:

Backend (Primary):

4+ years Node.js and REST API development Experience with enterprise integrations and authentication (OAuth, SSO) SQL database skills (MySQL) with optimization experience API testing and background job processing expertise
Frontend:

React proficiency for web applications Basic React Native knowledge Ability to build admin interfaces
General:

Cloud services and Docker experience Security and data privacy understanding Git proficiency and collaborative development skills

Preferred:

HRIS integration experience Microservices, Redis, message queuing TypeScript, HR tech domain knowledge

Experience Requirements:

4+ years backend development 2+ years React experience API integration experience preferred

Your Growth Timeline

Month 1:

Complete onboarding, understand codebase, contribute bug fixes

Month 3:

Lead feature development, optimize performance, improve CI/CD

Month 6:

Drive technical decisions, mentor team members, own major platform components

What we offer

Compensation:

$100,000-$115,000 CAD/year
