will be an important addition to our operation. You will be assisting the Owner, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Estimators in various ways on a daily basis. You are expected to be a highly organized and highly motivated individual. You will be responsible for all of the
Accounting / Bookkeeping tasks and reporting to the President and our General Accountant as required.
Commercial construction experience is highly valuable.
JOB ROLE
Attend various meetings and take minutes to record action items and distribute, follow up accordingly.
Keeping the management team informed of daily activities and priorities daily. Provide necessary information, files as required.
Quickbooks (Premier Contractor Edition) data entry/calculations. Includes preparing estimates, purchase orders, invoicing, payroll, AP/AR, bank reconciliations and deposits, WSIB reporting, Government filing i.e., HST, Source Deductions, T4's, T5018 and Taxes, etc.
Manage phone calls and correspondence efficiently with respect to full cycle bookkeeping requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
Have a valid drivers license, own transportation and cell phone.
Minimum 5 years experience as an Office Bookkeeper(full cycle) and be knowledgable with accounting and accounting principles.
General construction knowledge is an asset.
Solid accounting experience using accounting software mandatory (preferably Quickbooks). Ability to enter data, generate estimates, invoices, cheques, reports etc. A/R&AP, credit card payments and reconciliation's, including bank accounts, estimates, purchase orders, etc. etc.
Ability to be discreet, professional and maintain confidentially at all times.
Qualified candidate must undergo accounting/bookkeeper/Quickbooks assessment with Company accountant to validate skills
Proficient with Microsoft Suite of Applications.

Ideal candidate will also be eligible for bonuses and incentives from time to time.

This is a part-time position to start with and remote working privileges can be discussed.

Tuesdays and Fridays - 5 hours each day
