Full-Cycle Accountant- Manufacturing

This successful manufacturing company in Hamilton has been supplying high-quality brushes since 1933. They are proud to produce long-lasting products and quality services that our customers can rely on and depend upon. This company is in a major phase of growth and has acquired a new US division which has been set up in a new location in Hamilton.

Looking for a Full-Cycle Accountant! This person will be friendly, outgoing, and have high attention to detail.

Your opportunity

We are looking for a Full-Cycle Accountant to join the team and own the following responsibilities:

  • Extracting relevant data from accounting software and adding that information to the KPI template (Excel Spreadsheet) on daily basis.
  • Process and maintain financial statements and completion of monthly Financial Statement package to owners.
  • Payroll processing, reconciliation, and compliance reporting
  • Working capital management; bank reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit card processing
  • Tracking, managing, and recording credit card spent to relevant expense accounts after due approval and processing the payments on the due date.
How do we define success for your role?
  • Ensure all templates are prepared, you will be doing the due diligence extracting, formatting, and publishing/sharing the data to ownership and management.
  • You maintain month-end/year-end paperwork and assist preparation of inventory analysis as required
  • You complete monthly reconciliation of all accounts; GL reconciliations as required
  • You maintain filing to support bookkeeping and financial records
  • You have a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
Your experience and education
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • A minimum of 2 years related experience; experience gained from the Manufacturing sector is considered an asset
  • Experience using Computerized ERP, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Hands-on experience with Costing is considered an asset
  • Calculate, prepare, and submit bi-weekly payroll, working with Ceridian software is an asset
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
