Responsibilities

Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified. Process and manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices, payment processing, and reconciliations. Mange accounts receivable, including invoices, payment collection, and customer account reconciliations. Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and prepare forecasts and projections to support strategic planning and decision-making. Generate and present financial reports to management, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data. This includes tracking and analyzing budget performance, identifying variances and providing explanations and corrective actions. Develop, implement, and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data. Prepare payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee salaries and benefits. Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and reporting requirements, including tax filings and remittances. Prepare and file corporate tax returns, GST/HST returns, and other required tax documents. Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal accounting regulations and reporting requirements. Other duties as required.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in full cycle accounting, preferably in a similar industry or role. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is an asset. Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. The ability to work independently and collaboratively contributes to a positive team environment.

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,803.09 per year
