Fuel Truck Operator

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fuel Truck Operator to join our team at a remote mine site in the NWT. Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, you will work a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of fuel to various locations within the mine site.

- Safely operate fuel trucks and comply with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Inspect vehicles before and after use and report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Load and unload fuel from the truck and deliver it to various locations within the mine site.
- Follow safety protocols when handling fuel, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep accurate records of fuel transactions, including the amount of fuel delivered and the destination location.
- Communicate effectively with the fuel station and other departments within the mine site to ensure timely and efficient delivery of fuel.
- Maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the fuel truck.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a fuel truck.
- Knowledge of safety protocols for handling fuel and hazardous materials.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in a remote mine site and adhere to a flexible schedule.
- 12 hour shift
The successful candidate will require full vaccination status Experience:
- Heavy & Tractor-Trailer Truck Drivers: 1 year (preferred)
