Working alongside CBSA officers you will be responsible for a number of tasks including but not limited to: access control, directing travellers through the immigration checkpoint, providing medical assistance as needed, providing oversight of the detainees as per CBSA officer's directions, and overall fostering a positive relationship with the staff on site.

You would be working 40 hours a week

What does a Security Guard working at CBSA do?
Control access to restricted areas and areas with limited access
Directing passengers and escorting people in restricted areas
Participate in emergency operations according to the emergency response plan
Oversee detainees and assist CBSA officers as requested
Provide tactical support as needed
Escort detainees as per CBSA directions
Qualifications required to work as a Security Guard at the Airport under CBSA.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED; need to be able to provide a copy of the certificate)
Valid security guard license and first aid card
Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience is required
Must have great customer service, de-escalation and problem solving skills
Must be available to work either the day shift (0600-1400; Monday-Friday) or the afternoon shift (1600-2200; Monday-Friday)
Have a clean criminal record
Must be able to complete Reliability and Vulnerability check
Must be able to complete extensive Use of Force training
Must be able to obtain a RAIC pass
Be eligible to work in Canada
18 years of age or older
