POSITION OVERVIEW

Sales Order Entry manages all incoming orders and forwards to the appropriate departments for processing. A high degree of professionalism, telephone etiquette, and customer service is essential for this role.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma required. Post-secondary education preferred. 1-2 years of data entry and order processing experience. Experience with Accpac, EDI or other order processing software considered an asset. High level of attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) and internet applications. Professional manner, polite and diplomatic. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

NAV order entry of orders received via fax and email. Facilitate orders taken over the phone and email; slip should be attached to the printed picking slip for future records. Attend to customer order inquiries. Retrieve all daily sales orders and send to inventory control. Invoice weekly cash sales. Book appointments for delivery. Weekly standing orders. File sales reports and mail when necessary. Fax new order forms regarding new product lines. Maintain unsigned invoice file. Maintain order sheets (continuous updating). All other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales Live by the company's mission, vision, and values. Build and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of staff.
