a Landlord Liaison,
you'll play a vital role in connecting individuals with safe, stable housing, helping create brighter futures, one home at a time. This is more than a job, it's a chance to use your problem-solving skills, relationship-building abilities, and compassion to impact your community in a lasting way. In this role, you'll be the bridge between landlords and our clients, building trust and fostering successful tenancies. Your work will include:
Connecting with landlords and securing safe, affordable housing options
Acting as the first point of contact for landlord partnerships--offering support, education, and solutions
Troubleshooting tenancy issues and providing conflict resolution in partnership with clients and case workers
Supporting move-ins, move-outs, inspections, and occasionally arranging or performing minor repairs
Maintaining accurate housing files, case notes, and reports
Collaborating with community agencies, case workers, and landlords to keep tenancies strong and stable
About You
The ideal candidate would be:
A natural relationship-builder with strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Able to balance independence with teamwork, taking initiative while staying collaborative
Organized, resourceful, and skilled at juggling multiple priorities
Respectful, empathetic, and discreet, with a commitment to confidentiality
Comfortable with the practical side of housing, from paperwork to problem-solving
Your background may include:
Post-secondary education (at least 1 year), ideally in business or a related field
Experience in rental property management, housing, or not-for-profits (an asset)
Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act
Basic repair/maintenance experience (an asset)
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Position Requirements
Proof of being vaccinated against COVID
Alberta Class 5 (Non GDL) driver license
Be able to physically assist clients from prone to sitting or standing, and vice versa
Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Search, valid within the last six months, that does not contain any results material to the position
A reliable vehicle that can be used for business purposes
Be physically able to assist clients with move in's/Out as well as cleaning (which
may involve bodily fluids), lifting up to 35 lbs Ability to complete FOIP & "It's your Move" training, or equivalent Patient Lift training
