Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistance Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant together with General Manager and Chef Owner. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety and quality, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Supervise FOH team to ensure exceptional food, beverage, and wine service
Support kitchen operations to maintain quality and consistency
Manage POS, cash handling, and daily reporting
Recruit, train, and motivate team members
Ensure compliance with food safety and service standards
Collaborate with kitchen for smooth front-back operations
Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues professionally
Maintain cleanliness and organization across all service areas
Enhance guest experience through strong wine knowledge and steak pairings.
Requirements
Support Handson's core values of hospitality, teamwork, and excellence
Oversee and assist with daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service flow
Work closely with the management and kitchen team on service planning, menu updates, and guest experience
Track and record labour, sales, inventory, and daily reports to support operational efficiency
Uphold and elevate guest service standards -- from greeting and engagement to education and follow-up
Contribute to the development of our wine program and assist in staff wine training
Help create and execute marketing initiatives, events, and collaborations to build community awareness
Support in scheduling, training, and mentoring staff, fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment
Identify opportunities to improve profitability, workflow, and guest satisfaction
Proficient in using POS systems, specifically Micros POS is preferred.
Strong wine knowledge with the ability to handle, present, and recommend wines confidently
