The Front of House Manager role at BOND|ST Snack Bar offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic hospitality professional to lead daily operations and help shape a unique dining experience in the heart of Downtown Oshawa. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards in both service and food quality. The Front of House Manager will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests while effectively managing the front-of-house operations.
Responsibilities
Supervise and train front-of-house staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and protocols.
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest interactions.
Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain cash handling procedures.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and service.
Implement training and development programs for staff to enhance their skills in customer service and food handling.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar, and other front-of-house spaces.
Monitor guest feedback and address any concerns promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Assist in budgeting and financial management related to front-of-house operations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and menu planning.
Smart Serve and Food Handlers required.
Familiarity with the POS system Touch Bistro is preferred.
Experience in cash handling and financial reporting.
Background in fine dining or casual dining environments is advantageous.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Experience in training staff on operational procedures, hospitality management, and shift management.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
