Position Summary:
The
Front of House Manager
is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Garden Bistro and Tasting Room service teams. This hands-on leadership role ensures smooth and efficient service, fosters a guest-first culture, and supports staff development. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and passionate about creating an environment where both guests and team members feel welcome, supported, and inspired.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all FOH staff, including servers, hosts, and support staff
Ensure consistent, high-quality guest experiences across all service areas
Coordinate daily operations, including opening/closing procedures, table management, and shift oversight
Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate FOH team members
Uphold Peak Cellars' hospitality standards, service protocols, and guest interaction expectations
Monitor and manage staff performance, addressing issues professionally and promptly
Work closely with the Executive Chef, Events, and Tasting Room team to coordinate service for regular dining, private functions, and winery events
Manage POS systems, tip pools, daily cash-outs, and end-of-day reporting
Oversee cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all regulatory requirements
Maintain wine and food knowledge across the team through regular education and training
Qualifications:
3-5 years of FOH leadership experience in a restaurant, winery, or hospitality-driven environment
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team
Exceptional customer service instincts with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Familiarity with wine service and winery hospitality is highly preferred
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with POS systems and scheduling platforms
Serving It Right certification required; WSET or other wine education is a plus
