Position:
We are looking for an enthusiastic full-time Front Shop Supervisor at our location at Queen's University in Kingston, ON. They will manage the overall Front Shop operations in the pharmacy. The Front Shop includes all areas of the store, including cosmetics, excluding Pharmacy. The Front Store Supervisor will lead staff in providing excellent Front Shop customer service, manage all processes and procedures utilizing financial resources ensuring store objectives are achieved.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform opening and closing duties
Greet and assist customers with general inquiries.
Keep up to date on in-store products to assist with sale and promotion
Keep the store neat, clean and stocked with essential supplies. "Face" store inventory at the start of each shift and when merchandising new inventory
Order products from vendors
Ensure ordered products are put out in the correct designated areas according to drug schedule (unscheduled, scheduled II and II) Pharmacist will determine drug schedule Onboarding and reviewing new vendors with front store manager and pharmacy manager
Maintain vendor order schedule with front store manager
Restock and monitor the kiosks, along with monitor the display screen including troubleshooting any issues that arise
Check and run the front store report sales + kiosk sales and inventory report
Merchandise and manage store layout.
Maintain sufficient inventory and ensure POS inventory is up to date and accurate, including but not limited to acquisition cost, retail price and on-hand and minimum quantities
Order, receive and price merchandise as per SOP, in a timely manner
Review and manage shopify orders. Create and handle purolator deliveries for shopify and rx orders when required
Monitor the sales of front shop items including markups and markdowns
Lottery: manage lottery transactions, ensuring accurate ticket sales and payouts. Maintain lottery equipment, provide customer service, adhere to gaming regulations. Ensuring scratchcard display is fully stocked throughout the day
Assist in scheduling & approve employee hours
Train new employees (POS, entering items, cash, lottery, kiosk, compression etc.. according to training checklist) and ensure consistency in process and procedures
Work with manager to ensure all team members are trained on front store products including health and beauty
Communicate with all team members on new or updated initiatives, promotions, process and procedures and confirm with manager how and when it was communicated (communication book is updated)
Consult with external companies, other departments and/or senior management to address any issues
Deposit money at bank
Maintain a positive atmosphere in the store
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
3 months to 1 year of sales and/or sales management experience (preferred)
Client service focused
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Results and goal oriented
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Self starter, motivated and an entrepreneurial approach
Highly comfortable in a fast-paced, ambitious and dynamic environment with the ability to manage tight deadlines
A proven history of accomplishments - making connections, building relationships, overcoming objections and winning
Skills needed for this job include strong communication skills, math skills, ability to stand for long periods of time, and excellent customer service skill
