Job Duties
Provides excellent customer service, in a Cafeteria Style unit, reinforcing and leading by example; addresses customer complaints in a professional manner
Assists with the preparation of all food and beverage and service to customers
Ensures areas are safe, clean and well-organized to meet all customer, client and company needs
Ensures procedures for safe food storage, handling and preparation as outlined by Health & Safety Food regulations
Maintains inventory levels and ensures stock of organized and rotated
Prepares and completes all daily cash reconciliation reports
May assist in conducting monthly Workplace Health & Safety Inspections; completes all reports
Ensures that staff orientation, training and development activities, including Health & Safety training are according to policy, procedure and guidelines
Adheres to all Polices and Procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
A minimum of 1-2 years food service experience would be an asset
Solid knowledge of food service principals, processes, procedures, policies, directives and guidelines
Good proficiency and experience with word processing (MS Word), spreadsheets (MS Excel), company software and database programs
Ability to maintain confidentiality where mandated or required, particularly as it relates to company business, financial and employee / HR information
Solid knowledge of customer service skills to ensure excellent customer service to client and customers
Ability to lead, co-ordinate and supervise the completion of work, providing day-to-day oversight; to make recommendations into the hiring, performance evaluation and discipline of staff
Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate
Current CPR, First Aid and WHMIS Training would be an asset
Successful Police Check will be required
