About the Position
As the
Front Desk Supervisor
, you'll assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front desk operations, including guest registration, reservations, and night audit. You'll play a key role in ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, smooth operations, and maximizing hotel profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist guests with a friendly, professional, and welcoming attitude.
Supervise and support front desk team members; provide training on service standards, hotel systems, safety, and local knowledge.
Assist with staff scheduling, task assignments, and labor cost control.
Monitor staff performance and provide coaching or corrective action when needed.
Upsell rooms and promote hotel services to enhance guest experiences and revenue.
Handle cash/credit card transactions accurately; follow all financial and security procedures.
Assist with check-ins, check-outs, reservations, phone calls, and guest inquiries.
Respond promptly to guest concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to maintain excellent service standards.
Perform opening and closing shift duties; complete reports and handovers.
Support with concierge services, guest requests, or special assignments as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma (college or hospitality education preferred).
Minimum 1 year of hotel front desk/guest services experience, with some supervisory or team lead experience.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable handling financial transactions and using property management systems.
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work with computers and office equipment.
Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Fluent in English (additional languages are an asset).
