who thrives both leading a shift and jumping behind the bar. You'll run
three MOD shifts
weekly (driving service, coaching the team, managing cash/close) and
bartend two shifts
(delivering great guest experiences, speed, and consistency).
Key Responsibilities
Manager on Duty (3 shifts/week)
Lead pre-shifts; set floor plan, assign sections, and manage breaks.
Own guest experience, comps/voids, and real?time service recovery.
Monitor labor and sales against targets; adjust deployment on the fly.
Oversee cash?outs, deposits, tip distribution and nightly reports.
Enforce SOPs, health & safety, and alcohol service compliance.
Coach in the moment; document wins and opportunities.
Bartending (2 shifts/week)
Execute cocktails, beer, wine, and N/A beverages to spec and speed.
Maintain bar prep, par levels, cleanliness, and opening/closing lists.
Suggestive sell; maintain high check average and repeat visits.
Shared/Weekly
Assist with scheduling, inventory counts, ordering, and vendor relations.
Support hiring, onboarding, and training (FOH & bar).
Contribute to seasonal menu changes and promotions.
Track and report KPIs (labor %, voids/comps, guest feedback, bar COGS)
Qualifications
1-2+ years in a supervisor/shift lead or bar lead role
provincial responsible beverage service certification
(or ability to obtain before start date).
Solid working knowledge of POS/cash?outs, closing procedures, and service standards.
Proven guest recovery skills and calm, clear communication.
Able to lift up to ~40 lb, stand/walk for long periods, and work nights/weekends/holidays.
Availability
Full-time, 5 shifts/week (mix of weekdays/weekends, evenings/late nights).
Open to occasional shift swaps to support events/holidays.
