FRONT OF HOUSE General Duties The general duties of the Front of House staff are to be the face of Noodlebox to the guest. This position is responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, communicating respectfully and effectively with the Line Cooks and Expo on duty, and maintaining cleanliness of the FOH area. FOH staff will also be trained to expedite. This position requires long periods of standing, and some lifting. Overview of job tasks: - Maintain expectations as per "Guest At Our Party" model in an effort to provide a Remarkable Experience for our guests - Cash handling and POS - Cleaning - Prep assistance when needed - Respectful & effective communication between the line cooks and the prep cooks - General cleaning duties - Clearing tables, table touching dine-in guests - Handling phone, in-person, and delivery orders - Food safety practices (HACCP/Serving it Right if your location requires) - Closing and cleaning at end of shift - Following guest recovery principles when dealing with guest concerns - Ability to manage the flow of orders, quote accurate wait times and efficiently organize how orders are sent to the kitchen - Willingness to use a deep fryer and other kitchen equipment when needed Areas of Responsibility - Speed, a sense of urgency to fufill the guests needs is critical - Expert level knowledge of the menu & features - Complete knowledge of how to handle allergens & preferences - Ability to recommend thoughtful menu choices to suit guest preferences - Have "guest first" attitude - Treat the machines, items and food with utmost care - Sweeping and mopping floors - Cleaning of public washrooms - Break down cardboard boxes and recycling - Take out garbage and replace bags if needed - Maintaining a pleasant and friendly attitude at all times - Ensure orders are given to the correct guest, are made according to the order modifications, and are following the presentation guidelines
