This isn't just a "stand at the counter and take orders" job (though you will be customer orders). You'll learn to preparing food and drinks, restock the display fridges and freezers, do table checks, and keep your station stocked with pre-portioned smoothies, boxes, etc.
Gratifyproduces delicious, nutritious food for health-conscious people. This family-run business has grown steadily since its inception in 2017.
We're seeking to hire a part time customer service person for our front-of-house, expanding to up to 30 hours during peak summer season.
Beginning wage: $18.00-$19.00/hr depending on experience

Hourly wage increase can be discussed after 90 day probation period.

Work Hours and Environment:
Daytime Hours. Shift availability ranges and can be flexible. Gratify is open Tuesday-Saturday 9:30am-5pm. 544 Main Street, Penticton, BC. Cafe setting. Fast-paced, fun, team-oriented, mission-driven culture. Room to grow within organization.
Responsibilities:
Create a welcoming environment and connect with customers. Prepare customer orders for meals, snacks, blended smoothies, coffee, tea, etc. Maintain a clean work station, and reset tables between customers. Fold boxes, pre-portion smoothie mixes, wash dishes in between customers, refill snack display trays, daily monitoring of fridge/freezer temperatures, etc. Accept payments using iPad via TouchBistro. Communicate challenges and obstacles to Management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Food industry and/or customer service industry experience. Dedicated to customer service. Valid Foodsafe certificate preferred, but not required. Comfortable working in fast-paced environment, standing up to 8 hours per shift. Able to follow instructions, multitask, learn quickly, and adhere to standard operating procedures. Driven individual who can get behind Gratify's health-conscious mission. Able to be on your feet throughout the day. Able to lift 30 lbs.
