We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food service industry, particularly in quick service and fine dining environments. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and managing staff to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The Front of House Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food safety, service quality, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily front-of-house operations to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Train, develop, and manage staff to uphold service standards and enhance team performance.
Oversee cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records.
Manage inventory control processes to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
Implement food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food preparation and service flow.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the front-of-house operations.
Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
Requirements
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully.
Experience in supervising staff, including training and development initiatives.
Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team management and motivation.
Knowledge of inventory control processes and budgeting within a restaurant setting.
Previous experience in fine dining or casual dining establishments is advantageous.
