Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient management of staff and resources. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service management, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves supervising front-of-house staff, managing guest relations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in casual dining, fine dining, or hotel food service is highly desirable. The Front of House Manager will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise front-of-house team members, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring excellent customer service delivery. Oversee daily restaurant operations, including shift management, scheduling, and staff training to maintain high standards of service. Manage customer relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure smooth food production and timely service. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems ; oversee cash handling procedures. Monitor inventory control processes to ensure proper stock levels of supplies, beverages, and food items. Conduct staff interviews, assist with hiring decisions, and participate in ongoing training & development initiatives. Enforce food safety standards and compliance with health regulations to maintain a safe dining environment. Assist with budgeting, cost control, and overall food & beverage management to optimize operational efficiency.

Skills



Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management roles with supervising responsibilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train & develop staff effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence. Proficiency in POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise. Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards. Experience managing inventory control and budgeting within the food industry. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Exceptional communication skills for interviewing staff and coordinating team efforts. Background in casual dining or fine dining environments; hotel or catering experience is a plus. Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 42 per week
