The role is responsible for the general management and oversight of the Encore Cafe food and beverage service at YWCA Regina's Kikaskihtanaw Centre for Women and Families. This role will manage the staff, scheduling, promotions and oversee the budget of the cafe. The position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of food safety and budget management. Additionally, the Manager must coordinate with suppliers, manage food inventory, and strive to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. This role will set realistic and high standards for customer service, quality of product, and speed of service.
Responsibilities:
Operational oversight of daily operations for the Cafe
Hiring, training, and supervision of staff and volunteers
Marketing and promotion - in conjunction with Director of Operations
Establish and maintain a positive partnership with Community/Business/Vendors
Supply order and inventory tracking
Budget management/tracking and spending approval
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Maintain a high quality of food and customer service
Maintain highest standards of SHA Food Safe regulations
Qualifications:
Food service and safe food handling experience
Excellent Customer Service
Experience in Front Facing Service/Restaurant Experience
Experience supervising staff/volunteers, as well as knowledge sharing and training
Experience using the Square, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google platforms
Self-directed, demonstrated ability to work effectively without direct supervision or guidance
Knowledge of the community systems and services as well as Trauma Informed Care would be an asset
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong background and experience in Customer Service and sales
Inventory Management and budget oversight and tracking
Must have a current Drivers License
Must be able to provide a criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check
Current Food Safe Certificate
