Front End Web Developer
Maintaining and refreshing content periodically on eCommerce enabled websites
Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
Ensuring content is AODA/WCAG2.1 compliant. Running WCAG audits in lower environments before publishing
Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Ensuring user experience determines design choices
Implementing features to enhance the user experience
Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones
Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability
Working closely with different stakeholders developing website-related requirements
Follow up with technical teams on any changes relating to website
Working with business stakeholders on developing UAT scenarios and regression tests
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or related field
Understanding of key design principles
Proficiency with HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming, JavaScript and jQuery
Understanding of server-side CSS
Knowledge and experience of CS Cart (DCS) tool will be a plus
Experience with graphic design applications such as Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator
Experience with responsive and adaptive design
Good understanding of SEO principles
Good understanding of AODA/WCAG principles and familiarity with audit tools
Good problem-solving skills
Good verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional environment
