About the role The position is for a COOP student to work with our front-end web services team. The COOP will run from May 1 to August 25, 2023.
Key Responsibilities

• Focus on improving your skills in several languages and technologies, but with the main focus on using front-end technologies
• Participate in the software development process activities within a Scrum team, including
  • Development, pair-programming, debugging
  • Manual testing and automated tests development
  • Preparing production builds and performing production releases

• Improve of learn the use of source control, pull requests and code reviews using Git and Github to the point where I can use these tools with ease

• Improve presentation and communication skills, by giving demonstrations of the work performed to a large audience to satisfy the goal that I would like to reach

The successful candidate will:

• Have some experience or interest in developing Single Page Applications (SPA)
• Be currently enrolled in university, preferably in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Learn the professional software development process and work within a Scrum team environment to meet deadlines set at bi-weekly meetings.
• Improve my programming skills by modifying existing application code using JavaScript, HTML, VueJS, Nuxt to the satisfaction of my supervisor and co-workers.
• Improve my understanding of databases and calling server-side api\'s

Nice to have\xe2\x80\x99s:

• Experience with common web API patterns like REST
• Experience with JavaScript and JSON
• Experience with HTMLs
• Experience with SASS, LESS, or CSS3
• Experience with web frameworks (AngularJS, Angular, or Vue.js)
• Experience with Azure Pipelines, AWS, or similar
• Experience with the e-commerce marketplaces
• A passion for camping and adventurous pastimes (we have a lot of enthusiasts on staff!)
