WHAT WE\xe2\x80\x99RE LOOKING FOR:

As a Senior Front End Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting our squads and journeys in delivering innovative solutions to market in the following ways:

• Shaping the future of RBC Banking by creating new customer-facing applications using the latest technologies
• Working within an Agile product team comprised of technical, product and business team members to deliver exceptional products
• Designing and developing code structures to promote reusability across many applications
• Collaborating with the team to design and implement software logic following current best practices
• Mentoring and coaching others on the team and practice pair-programming
• Providing guidance and direction to ensure high code quality with a rapidly changing Enterprise application suite
• Staying open-minded and look beyond your stack to solve complex problems
• Actively seeking out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Candidates MUST have:

• 4+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with the following software:

• Angular 5 or higher framework
• NGRX and State Management querying and consuming from a REST backend
• Proven experience working within an Agile product team
• Code merging and branching methodologies using Git
• Confidence supporting and maintaining production released software.
• Advance knowledge of RXJS and Publish/Subscribe pattern as well as Angular Navigation

Skills that are nice to have:

• Experience in other frameworks is valuable (i.e. React, Vue)
• Previous participation in open source projects
• Understanding of Micro Frontends
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related technical field with equivalent practical experience
• Experience with a design system and/or component library
• Object Oriented coding best practices, including strong design patterns knowledge, refactoring, clean code
• Understanding of DevOps deployment processes and technologies; Docker, Jenkins etc.
