As the Receptionist you play a pivotal role for the organization by creating a welcoming atmosphere as the first contact for families, clients and visitors that come to our home.
The Receptionist reports to the Programs Coordinator and is a partner in the Administration Team. This critical role is instrumental in providing support to the Executive Director, Director of Care, Programs Coordinator, Care Team and Support Services Team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, empathy and thoughtfulness are all skills that will assist you being successful in this position.
Duties will include but not exclusive to:
Greeting and providing information for families, clients and visitors
Assist with a variety of administrative tasks including but not limited to copying, scanning, filing, faxing and ordering supplies
Answering, forwarding and screening phone calls in a professional manner
Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks
Sorting and distributing mail
Performing ad-hoc administrative duties
Assisting with visitor, family, staff and leadership inquiries
Arrange and follow through with Family Care Conference arrangements
Arranging tours to families
Maintain resident files as per licensing requirements
Assist with fundraising as required

Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others

Understanding of Long-Term Care
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
3 years of experience as either an office Assistant or Administrative Assistant
Certificate in Office Administration or a combination of experience and education in relative discipline area of studies
Requirements:
Must pass a Criminal Record Check to be eligible to work with vulnerable adults & children under the BC Criminal Records Review Program

The annual wage for this position is: $53,742
