Axis Movement Company is seeking a reliable, friendly, and organized Front Desk Coordinator/Key Holder to be the first point of contact for our students and families. This role is vital to the daily operation of the studio, supporting the smooth flow of classes, maintaining a welcoming environment, and assisting with administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting a vibrant youth Acro and dance community.
Key Responsibilities
Opening & Closing Duties
Open and close the studio according to established procedures
Ensure the reception area, lobby, and washrooms are clean, tidy, and presentable
Perform daily start-of-day and end-of-day checklists
Customer Service & Communication
Greet students and families warmly as they arrive
Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries in a professional and helpful manner
Provide information on classes, schedules, pricing, studio policies, and events
Student Enrollment & Administration
Enroll new students and assist with registration forms and waivers
Manage class rosters and attendance records
Support trial class coordination and follow-up
Software & Systems Management
Use studio management software to update student profiles, process payments, and track enrollment
Handle basic point-of-sale transactions for merchandise or fees
Health & Safety Monitoring
Document and administer minor first aid for injuries or incidents, and escalate serious issues per studio protocol
Maintain accurate incident/injury records and communicate with parents as required
Studio Operations Support
Assist with light cleaning and studio upkeep between classes
Help coordinate and support special events, workshops, and studio communications
Restock front desk supplies as needed
Other Duties as Assigned
Provide general administrative support to studio leadership
Assist with social media replies, bulletin board updates, or marketing materials as needed
Qualifications
Prior experience in a customer-facing or administrative role preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Comfortable using scheduling or CRM software (training provided)
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
A positive attitude and love for working with children and families
Work Hours
Weekday evenings and/or weekends depending on class schedules
Additional hours may be required during events or seasonal registration periods
