Position Overview
The Red Deer Tennis Club (RDTC) is seeking motivated, dependable, and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Front Desk Attendants. This part-time position is ideal for high school, college, or university students who enjoy working in a professional yet welcoming community environment.
Front Desk Attendants play an important role in ensuring a positive experience for all members and guests by providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized facility, and assisting with the smooth operation of tournaments and daily activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and assist members and guests in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner. Respond to inquiries about club programs, schedules, and policies in person, by phone, or by email.
- Facility Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clubhouse, including washrooms, lounge, and front desk areas, ensuring the facility presents a welcoming environment at all times.
- Tournament Support: Assist the Tournament Director during events by welcoming players, helping to enter match scores, providing information, and ensuring operations run smoothly.
- Administrative Duties: Manage player check-ins, assist with bookings and scheduling, and support basic record-keeping and payment processing as required.
- General Support: Ensure the club is welcoming, organized, and ready for members and guests at all times. Assist the Club Manager and the Director of Tennis with tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience is an asset.
- Experience with tennis is not required, but familiarity with the sport is considered an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Competent with basic computer applications and comfortable learning new systems.
- Professional, friendly demeanor with attention to detail.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
