Tasks

Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages Schedule and confirm appointments Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions Recruit and hire staff Perform basic bookkeeping tasks Maintain and manage digital database Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation Answer electronic enquiries Resolve conflict situations Perform data entry Review and evaluate new administrative procedures Order office supplies and maintain inventory Work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met Co-ordinate and plan for office services such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance and security services Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
