The Front Desk Agent is a part of the Moraine Lake Lodge guest service. The front desk is generally the first interaction with a guest when they arrive at Moraine Lake Lodge, therefore this role requires a high level of customer service and multi tasking. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Answering phones and emails
• Room reservations and room sales
• Guest Service (Concierge)
• Bellhop
• Assisting dining room with reservations
• Performing end of day accounting procedures
• Monitoring expenses and revenue for dining room
• Following check-in /out procedures
• All other duties as required

We do not have any phones in our guest rooms, therefore guests will come directly to the front desk for dinner reservations and ideas of how to make the most of their Rocky Mountain Adventure!

Details:

• Fulltime, 40hrs. a week,
• Hourly wage of $17.00 per hour with an end-of-contract bonus,
• Staff accommodation: $10.00/day, includes all meals and laundry,
• May 24, 2023- October 2, 2023,
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada prior to the offer of employment,
• Must be fully vaccinated

Qualifications:

• Min. 1 yr. front desk experience preferred,
• Background in hospitality/tourism program, an asset,
• Previous experience using SmartHotel Software, strong asset
• Second language, as an asset,
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
• Must be guest service oriented, have excellent people skills with a positive & upbeat personality
• CPR and First Aid Certificate, an asset.
• Outdoor enthusiast, a passion for hiking and exploring the Rocky Mountains.
