We are seeking an experienced and motivated Front Desk Agent to join our team at Siesta Suites.



As a Front Desk Agent, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction within our establishment. If you are a dedicated professional with excellent customer service and organizational skills, we encourage you to apply!



Successful candidates will be able to work a variety of shifts, including graveyard (11:00pm-7:00am), Tuesday to Saturday.



Duties and Responsibilities:



Ensure that each guest has received the high level of service that is our goal and has been satisfied with that service, and the facilities provided. Provide guests with information and respond to guest requests. Operate all equipment at the front desk, including but not limited to - PMS, reservations system, switchboard, key card machine, fax, copier, etc. Complete necessary paperwork duties as assigned. Handle late night guest arrivals and inquiries and early departures. Maintain professionalism in communication and interactions with guests and colleagues. Contribute to the security and safety of guests, staff, and hotel assets by reporting suspicious activity and handling keys responsibly. Represent the hotel positively and uphold its mission and values. Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies. Be prepared to act in emergencies, such as fires or injuries, following company procedures. Provide exceptional customer service exceeding expectations, treating everyone with respect, maintaining a safe work environment, all within the framework of established hotel guidelines. Take every opportunity to be a "sales person" through the selling of special promotions and facilities available within the hotel/company. Assist where necessary to foster a spirit of teamwork and to achieve standards of work and guest care as required by company policy. Anticipate and respond to guest needs, ensuring all comments and complaints are actioned in accordance with company and hotel policy. Ensure the hotel revenue balances between the property management system and the credit card processing company. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or related field is an asset. Minimum 1-2 years of front desk or guest services experience in a hotel environment. Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills. Proficient in hotel property management systems (PMS) and common office software (e.g., MS Office Suite). Solid verbal and written communication skills. Ability to task-switch and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays. Professional appearance and demeanor. Knowledge of health, safety, and security procedures in hospitality. First Aid/CPR certification is an asset. Training in customer service excellence or hospitality leadership is an asset.
