Front Desk Agent (Dual Brand - Super 8 Kelowna & La Quinta Inn & Suites Kelowna)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, reliable and detail-oriented Front Desk Agent who is able to work across
both Super 8 Kelowna and La Quinta Inn & Suites Kelowna
. These two hotels are located on the same property and share the same parking lot. The successful candidate must be able to cover shifts for either brand as scheduled.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner
Check guests in and out, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services, amenities, and room locations
Handle guest requests, questions, concerns and messages in a timely and courteous manner
Answer phones promptly and professionally
Assist with front desk accounting and daily documentation duties
Reconcile daily transactions and prepare shift reports (night auditors)
Book individual and group reservations as required
Work closely with other departments to ensure excellent guest experiences
Follow proper service recovery guidelines when handling guest issues or complaints
Assist in light cleaning tasks as required by both hotels (e.g. lobby wipe-downs, restocking supplies, basic tidiness)
At Super 8 Kelowna--responsible for breakfast during low season, and assist breakfast attendant during high season. Tasks include replenishing items, basic food area upkeep, dishwashing, and light floor cleaning.
May occasionally perform simple laundry tasks such as removing lint from dryers and restarting a cycle
Support concierge-type requests and guest room tours when required
Perform other duties as assigned to support smooth operational flow
Requirements:
Must be able to work shifts at
both
Super 8 Kelowna and La Quinta Inn & Suites Kelowna
Strong communication and customer service skills
Able to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel PMS systems
Ability to perform light physical tasks (light cleaning, restocking, handling small items, etc.)
Previous hotel experience an asset but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $17.80-$20.00 per hour
