Position: Front Desk Administrative Support (1 year contract)

Position Description:

McSheffrey Resource Centre is seeking an individual to support our front desk. As the number of programs and services increases, the need for front desk support becomes essential to help us navigate and coordinate office activities. The Front Desk Administrator is the first point of contact for community members, visitors, and callers. This role provides essential administrative and service support to ensure the efficient daily operation of the centre. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

The Front Desk Administrative Support will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring they receive timely assistance and are directed to the appropriate services.

Key responsibilities will include:

Greeting and assisting visitors upon arrival. Answering phone calls and providing information or referrals. Directing clients to relevant programs, services, and staff. Managing front desk operations to ensure a welcoming, organized, and clean environment. Data management. Develop and edit program forms.
Eligibility:

Previous administration experience in an office setting. Energetic individual with strong multitasking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a positive, professional attitude. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population in a respectful and inclusive manner. Proficient in computer programs, including word, email, and basic data entry. Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident in Newfoundland and Labrador. Temporary residents may be eligible if they are international graduates with a Post-graduate Work Permit or have an Open Work Permit. Diploma or certificate in Office Administration or related field is considered an asset.
Salary: $ 18.00 per hour, 30 hours per week
