French-speaking Early Childhood Assistant (ECA)

to join our passionate team.

As a

French-speaking ECA

, you will work closely with our lead educators to support the daily care, learning, and well-being of the children--while encouraging French language exposure through conversation, songs, and storytelling. You'll play an essential role in fostering a calm, respectful, and enriching Montessori classroom environment.

Duties

Support lead Montessori educators in preparing the classroom and daily routines Provide gentle guidance and supervision to children aged 18 months to 6 years Encourage children's independence and social development in line with Montessori principles Communicate with children in

French

, promoting bilingual language development Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment Assist with toileting, dressing, and snack/lunch routines as needed Observe and report children's progress and behaviors to the teaching team Participate in school events and professional development sessions

Requirements

Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) Certificate or equivalent (or currently enrolled in ECE/ECA training)

Fluent in French

(spoken and basic written); English fluency also required Experience working with young children (Montessori experience is a strong asset) Warm, patient, and respectful approach to child care Familiarity with the Montessori philosophy (training can be provided) Current First Aid/CPR Certification Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.60-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
