We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated part-time teachers for French to join our team at Selis Learning Academy in Burnaby. This role requires in-person teaching, with candidates expected to commute to our Burnaby campuses.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective lessons in French to adults and young children. Prepare lesson plans and educational materials in line with the curriculum. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress. Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and technologies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the academy's educational programs. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Proven experience teaching students in grades 1-12. Strong knowledge of the BC curriculum and educational standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools. Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth. Experienced fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered. Graduate students with subject knowledge are welcome to apply. Valid BC teaching certification is an asset but not required. Must be able to commute to the Burnaby location.
