French Teacher - Burnaby South Secondary

Temporary Full-time: January 5 to June 30, 2026


As one of the largest, most progressive and diverse urban districts in the province, Burnaby provides comprehensive educational programs and services to a diverse population of 25,000 full-time and 17,000 part-time learners. The district operates 41 elementary and 8 secondary schools, plus a number of additional facilities and district programs.

for a temporary full-time position at Burnaby South Secondary, teaching

French (Grades 8 - 10)

Required Teacher Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or academic equivalent in an appropriate field of study; A relevant methodology course A valid BC Teaching Certificate Recent, successful, substantive teaching or practicum experience in the relevant grade level

LANGUAGES Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Arts degree or academic equivalent Demonstrated fluency and facility in English and French language Courses at the 300/400 level equal to 18 credits in French language A relevant methodology course

Salary and Benefits:

Salary Range: $59,711 to $109,842 per annum based on Teachers' Salary Grid Placement on salary scale will be determined by years of experience and qualifications in accordance collective agreement.
Upon hire, opportunity to sign up for benefits as per the Teachers' Provincial Collective Agreement. How much you pay for your benefits will be determined by the position you have and the fte (full time equivalent).
