Job Summary

We're seeking a freelance social media/website content creator to work remotely for approximately 2 hours per day on a flexible schedule. This role requires a daily commitment and offers creative independence for someone who enjoys crafting engaging content with strong visual appeal.

You'll be responsible for writing clear, compelling content for websites, newsletters, and social media--particularly around science-related topics like chemistry or chemical engineering. While a technical background isn't required, the ability to understand scientific concepts and write appropriately is important.

Proficiency with Canva is essential, as you'll also be designing visuals to accompany your content and ensure consistency across platforms.

Responsibilities

Write engaging and easy-to-understand content for web pages, newsletters, and social media platforms Create visually appealing graphics using Canva to accompany written content Collaborate with the team to ensure content aligns with overall messaging and goals Adapt scientific or technical ideas into accessible, audience-friendly content Maintain brand voice and consistency across all channels Manage daily tasks independently while meeting short turnaround times

Requirements

Strong writing and editing skills, with a clear and engaging style Ability to grasp scientific concepts (especially in chemistry or chemical engineering) and write about them appropriately Proficiency in Canva for designing social media and website visuals Good sense of visual layout and basic design principles Reliable with a flexible schedule, able to commit approximately 2 hours per day Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Previous experience in content creation, marketing, or communications is an asset
