Free Walking Tour Guide Company Overview Toonie Tours has operations and activities in lower mainland British Columbia and Alberta, including Calgary, and aims to expand its operations across Canada. Toonie Tours is a fun, customer, and quality-focused tour company that welcomes and connects customers to Canada through tours and experiences. Founded in 2018 by three good friends, Toonie Tours has become a 5-star rated tour company by putting the customer first and delivering genuinely down-to-earth tours and experiences. Toonie Tours is currently looking for Free Walking Tour Guides to join our team and represent their local community. As restrictions in Canada begin to ease, Toonie Tours is preparing to welcome more customers from abroad and out of town. This position is for a freelance, contractor position. Candidates will be required to invoice Toonie Tours for the tours they guide. Experience as a freelancer/contractor is preferred. We are hiring people who are available to work part-time, and often on weekends. The primary responsibility for this position is to lead a group of 10-25 customers on a highly entertaining and engaging tour of your community. Toonie Tours offers a broad portfolio of tours and experiences, including Free Walking Tours, Art Tours, Beers Tours, Bike Tours, etc. As a Free Walking Tour Guide, you can learn and be eligible to lead all these tours. Toonie Tours embraces a performance-based compensation model to keep Tour Guides at the top of their game. We are looking for people who love Canada and know all about their communities! Roles & Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Creative \xe2\x80\x93 Learn, research, design, and personalize tours and stories to be authentically presented. \xc2\xb7 Leadership \xe2\x80\x93 Meet, welcome, and lead tour groups of 10-25 customers. \xc2\xb7 Customer-Service \xe2\x80\x93 Provide local recommendations and tips for out-of-town travelers, and customers less familiar with your community. \xc2\xb7 Be the local Toonie Tours Expert \xe2\x80\x93 Represent Toonie Tours, your community, and tour guides in general to the public. You are actively involved in your community and have that wanderlust spirit. \xc2\xb7 Working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Key Attributes \xc2\xb7 Communicative and Social \xe2\x80\x93 Strong verbal communication skills, ability to present and speak loudly, personable, and approachable. We are looking for fluent English-speaking Tour Leaders and welcome additional languages to join our offerings. \xc2\xb7 Entertaining and Positive \xe2\x80\x93 Exception story-telling skills, capture the attention of the group, and has a great sense of humor. \xc2\xb7 Self-driven / Self-starter / High Performer \xe2\x80\x93 Works well in a performance-based compensation model. Is recommendable and commands 5-star reviews. \xc2\xb7 Flexible & Confident \xe2\x80\x93 Adapts well to varying circumstances as the group needs change with the always-changing outdoor environment. \xc2\xb7 Punctual \xe2\x80\x93 shows up early for every tour, without fail. \xc2\xb7 Physically fit (can manage 5 km of walking in 2.5hrs, while speaking and presenting) \xc2\xb7 Legally authorized to work in Canada Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal, Freelance Salary: $16.00-$100.00 per hour Benefits:
