It provides a distributed service across the health authority with physical libraries in four hospitals. Library Services is an arm of, and works in tandem with, the Horizon Learning & Development team.Who you areYou have a worked in a health librarian role for a minimum of 5 years. You have experience in health sciences librarianship and as a library manager. You have knowledge of evidence-based practice processes and tools typically gained through completion of a recognized program.You have a master\'s degree in library or information services from an ALA accredited program.You have at least 5 years of experience in a health library and more than 2 years experience managing a library.Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.What you will do

• Broaden and promote functional library services, including reference and current awareness services, document delivery, collection management of print and online resources, purchasing and cataloguing, and information literacy
• Lead the review and evaluation of e-resources, in collaboration with library team, and recommend the subscription and/or cancellation of e-resources based on statistical analysis of usage data, changing information, and research needs of hospital staff, and budget considerations
• Manage and coordinate the daily operations and staff of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital library in Fredericton
• Maintain current and accurate information about e-resource licenses, access points, and current holdings by liaising with product vendors, publishers and internal stakeholders
• Facilitate the trial, review, selection, and acquisition of e-resources
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and interdepartmental teams to ensure access points and the discovery of library information resources are findable and embedded where appropriate
• Conduct literature searches and provide high level reference services
• Navigate partnerships with other provincial health services
• Facilitate and design library orientation for residents, new physicians, and interns
• Manage and conduct performance development of library staff across the region
• Manage the regional library budget and provide updates to Regional Director
• Acts as a member of the Learning & Development (L&D) leadership team, participate in meetings, and contribute to discussions and planning related to L&D improvements
• Participate in, and assist Regional Director with, internal projects utilizing project management methodologies
