Position Title: Franchising Officer, Business Development
Section A - Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Business Development, this position is responsible for putting together development deals for Medicine Shoppe franchises across Canada. The position goals are to grow the franchise system with excellent pharmacist owners. Growth targets are established yearly by senior management.
Section B - Position Responsibilities
The Franchising Officer will identify potential franchise candidates through social media marketing, networking, attending pharmacy conferences, student career fairs and building relationships within the pharmacy community.
The Franchising Officer is expected to follow up on leads and clearly explain the Medicine Shoppe value proposition to prospective candidates.
Provide and obtain completed Qualifying Profiles for strong candidates and guide them through the Discovery Day process.
Collaborates with and assists existing franchisees on multi-store opportunities.
Identifies new target markets for growth, sourcing pharmacist candidates and real estate opportunities.
Prepare lease offers and work with agents and landlords to secure new sites.
Track progress of candidate leads through the Development Pipeline.
From time to time at the request of the Director, Business Development, the Franchising Officer will be involved in special projects pertaining to resales, license agreement renewals & relocations.
The Franchising Officer will travel to sites across Canada to fulfill the mandate of the position in order to meet targets.
