We are seeking a skilled Framer with

10+ years of experience

to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working with various materials and tools to construct frameworks for buildings and other structures, ensuring quality and precision in every project.

Important: Experience in framing low rise, town homes and custom residential homes

Duties

Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. Construct and install frameworks for walls, floors, roofs, and other structures using wood or metal materials. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high-quality standards. Engage in heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and assembling structures.

Skills

Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics. Strong experience in carpentry, woodworking, and concrete forming/finishing techniques. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely. Knowledge of restoration techniques for existing structures. Be able to lead and direct Must be able to communicate efficiently via email and other electronic communications and document sharing. Keep job sites clean and organized. Able to commute to different jobs site with own vehicle. Perform physical labour and lifting tasks at residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Can Lift 50lbs and more Measure, cut, and install materials. 10+ years of experience in residential, low rise, and custom framing Must be familiar with the Ontario Building Code. Valid Working at Heights, WHMIS and other certifications are preferred.
