Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building structures, working with various materials, and utilizing power tools effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints and schematics, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate welding equipment when necessary. The Framer will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Construct frameworks for buildings and other structures according to blueprints and schematics. Utilize power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, metal, and concrete. Perform concrete forming tasks to create foundations and other structural elements. Restore or repair existing frameworks as needed to maintain structural integrity. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and welders, to ensure project specifications are met. Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery on-site. Install siding and other exterior finishes as part of the framing process.

Requirements

Proven experience in framing or a related construction field is preferred. Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics to accurately execute building plans. Strong knowledge of power tools, welding techniques, and concrete forming processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
