The Opportunity (Hybrid, or In-Person)
The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst will play a key role in the financial planning and analysis process of Carbon6 Technologies. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing valuable insights to assist in strategic decision-making.

Your Impact:

• Financial Analysis:Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.Analyze and interpret financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant data and input.Monitor budget variances and provide explanations and recommendations.
• Financial Reporting:Generate and distribute regular financial reports to management and stakeholders.Prepare executive-level presentations to communicate financial performance and insights.Ensure financial reports comply with GAAP and company standards.
• Cost Analysis:Analyze cost structures and cost drivers to support cost optimization efforts.Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.Provide cost analysis for specific projects and initiatives.
• Financial Modeling:Build and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making.Assess the financial impact of various scenarios and strategies.Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis to evaluate potential outcomes.
• Ad Hoc Analysis:Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested by senior management.Provide insightful recommendations based on data-driven findings.Assist in special projects related to financial performance and strategy.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is a plus. A CFA designation is a plus.
• Expertise in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software).
• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent Excel skills and strong PowerPoint skills; proficient in building financial models and capable of translating raw data into thoughtful analysis and concise presentations.
• High quality decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly while dealing with ambiguity and imperfect data.
• Strong time management skills and ability to multitask between various on-going responsibilities to meet established deadlines.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in Technology (e.g. Saas) is a plus.
