POSITION OVERVIEW
The FP&A Analyst plays a key role in the evolution of the Financial Planning and Analysis team at Kruger. The incumbent will perform the financial and budgetary analysis required for various monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes, including the analysis of consolidated budget variances for senior management and the Company's board of directors. He/she will also be responsible for improving the analysis and forecasting processes relating to financial and production data, as well as performing ad hoc requests relating to financial planning and analysis and special projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITY
Execute recurring reporting processes jointly with other team members, such as:
o Producing consolidated forecast / budget information from the consolidation system on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, taking into consideration the different accounting standards used in the company (ASPE and IFRS).
o Producing reports for senior management, the Executive Committee, the Company's board of directors and the Audit Advisory Committee; continuously optimizing and automating financial processes and reporting.
o Supporting and advising divisions during the budget process, standardizing, and consolidating the budgeted financial data and improving the process.
Assist in building and maintaining top-down consolidated financial models, containing the current fiscal year and long-range forecast of the divisions and Holdco, as well as valuation metrics.
Analyze trends, variances, and strategic / investment opportunities.
Perform benchmarking of the divisions vs. their competitors, analyze and communicate the results.
Support activities related to optimizing capital allocation and structure, as well as new financings.
Enhance data analytics capabilities within the FP&A team by performing ad hoc analysis of both financial and operational data and contribute to the evolution of the analytical culture across Kruger.
Continuously improve and simplify the existing reporting processes and automate them wherever possible.
Perform ad hoc requests relating to financial planning and analysis and special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in accounting (preferred), business administration, commerce or finance; CPA or CFA designation is considered an asset.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in FP&A, Accounting and / or Corporate Finance.
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong knowledge of financial statements analysis and financial ratios / KPIs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to deal with colleagues at all levels, including production sites and head office.

LANGUAGES
Bilingualism (French and English) is essential.
Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them.
