About the Role
We're hiring our Founding Sales Development Representative (Outbound Architect) -- an entrepreneurial, business-minded individual who will build our outbound sales engine from the ground up.
This is not a typical SDR role. There's no existing process to plug into -- you'll be responsible for designing, testing, and validating the entire outbound system yourself. You'll figure out the tech stack, workflows, daily activity model, and messaging strategy -- and then personally execute it to prove what works before we scale.
This role combines strategic ownership with hands-on hustle. You'll be the one making cold calls, writing outbound emails, and grinding through early experimentation to build a system that can later scale across a team.
What You'll Do
Architect the outbound sales system
-- from ICP definition to workflows, cadences, and reporting.
Select and implement the
(calls, emails, social) to validate your system and messaging.
Determine and refine the
daily/weekly activity volumes
needed to consistently generate pipeline.
Collaborate closely with AEs and leadership to ensure high-quality opportunities and fast feedback loops.
Document all learnings into a
scalable outbound playbook
to support future SDR hires.
What You'll Bring
A builder's mindset -- entrepreneurial, resourceful, and excited to create something from scratch.
Willingness to get your hands dirty: this job involves real cold calling, cold emailing, rejection, and iteration. You need to thrive in that grind.
Strong business acumen and analytical thinking; able to connect sales activity to pipeline outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Curiosity and persistence -- you're eager to learn SDR skills like prospecting, objection handling, and sequencing if you don't already have them.
Prior SDR/BDR experience is a strong asset, but not required if you can demonstrate entrepreneurial drive, fast learning ability, and comfort with doing the hard work yourself.
Bonus: experience in B2B SaaS, sales operations, or construction tech.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 CAD
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $120,000-$130,000 CAD
Equity: stock options grant included (amount depends on experience level and fit)
