About Us

The Erindale Academy is proud to relaunch the historic

Froebel School

(est. 1971) in Mississauga. Inspired by the vision of Friedrich Froebel, the "Father of Kindergarten," our program will provide a

holistic, child-centered education

that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

We are establishing a

new Froebel Program

at The Erindale Academy -- with scope spanning from

early years to elementary grades (JK/SK through Grade 8)

. The program will connect Froebel's timeless philosophy with the innovative spirit of The Erindale Academy.

As the

Founding Principal / Supervisor

, you will work closely with a team of senior educators -- including

George Vanderkuur

and

Paul Pu

-- to bring together Froebel's legacy with

21st-century educational innovation

.

Your Role

Lead the design, setup, and launch of the Froebel Program. Ensure licensing and regulatory compliance (CCEYA and Ontario Ministry standards). Develop and implement a Froebel-inspired curriculum aligned with Ontario expectations. Recruit, mentor, and supervise RECEs and teaching staff. Build strong relationships with parents and serve as the

public face

of the program. Collaborate with The Erindale Academy's leadership team to connect early years/elementary education with our established high school pathways.

Who You Are

Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)

in good standing. Proven leadership in early years or elementary education (experience in Mississauga or Oakville schools preferred). Strong understanding of holistic, child-centered pedagogies (Froebel, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar). Excellent communication and organizational skills. A visionary educator excited to

found and grow a program

with long-term impact.
