Atlantic Grocery Distributors - Now Hiring Forklift Operator (Freezer)!

The AGD Warehouse Department is currently looking to fill the position of

Forklift Operator (Freezer).

The Forklift Operator (Freezer) will be responsible for moving inbound, inter-warehouse and outbound product in a manner that meets client standards for safety, quality, productivity and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

:

Operates machinery including forklift in a safe and proper manner Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer) Main focus will be working in the freezer Let-downs, put away and receiving of various products Lift and load food service products (3 lbs-50 lbs) onto pallets, assistance with heavy items provided Prepare/wrap pallets for shipment to customers in safe manner Adhere to shipping and receiving policies/procedures, and regulatory compliance procedures Make signs and tags as needed for product Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of warehouse area including loading dock and trash areas

Key Qualifications

:

Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift; at times, product weight may weigh over 50 lbs. Requires the ability to move heavy product with assistance. ?Must have the ability to stand, walk and / or move about for extended periods of time. Outstanding customer service skills and willing to go the extra mile. Have a high regard for personal responsibility and willingness to take initiative. Must have previous forklift experience
