About the Role

We're looking for a

Forklift & Ground Equipment Telematics Installer

to join our expanding operations team. In this role, you'll install, test, and maintain telematics tracking devices and sensors on forklifts and airport ground support equipment (GSE). Your work ensures our clients' equipment stays connected, trackable, and operating efficiently--helping to power critical logistics operations.

This position is ideal for someone with a technical background in mechanics, electrical systems, or installations who enjoys working independently, troubleshooting, and bringing smart technology to life on the ground.

What You'll Do

Install Telematics Equipment:

Work directly installing equipment that utilizes advanced telematics and sensor technology on ground equipment and forklifts.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:

Test and verify installations, diagnose faults, and ensure devices are transmitting accurate data.

Equipment Upgrades:

Retrofit older models with telematics hardware and assist with system integrations.

Documentation:

Record all installations, device IDs, and work details in our digital system to maintain accurate asset tracking.

Collaboration & Support:

Coordinate with fleet operations, maintenance teams, and SHIFT AI engineers to ensure smooth deployments.

Safety & Compliance:

Follow company safety protocols (including SIDA and security access requirements).

What You Bring

2+ years of hands-on experience in

electrical installation, fleet maintenance, or equipment diagnostics

(experience with forklifts or GSE preferred). Comfort working with

12V/24V electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools

. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including

evenings or weekends

. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and safely.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.75-$36.13 per hour
